COMMUNITY PARTNERS ORGANIZE “TRANSITION TOWARD THE FUTURE” RESOURCE DAY FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS DEALING WITH JOB LOSS.

Fourteen community partners have come together to organize “Transition Toward the Future”, a day where people and families experiencing job loss and income reductions due to the current economy can come together and access a variety of resources and information to help them through these uncertain times. The event was held on Thursday, February 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ridgepoint Community Church facility located at 340 104th Avenue in Holland.

Resources and information were made available on:
• Health Insurance and health service options
• Emergency services including assistance for housing, food and utilities
• Financial budgeting, annual credit report review and options for retirement and 401K funds
• Emotional and spiritual resources and support for families and individuals
• Business and professional resources
• Government programs, including job training, Housing assistance, tax preparation, home heating/weatherization and more
