Welcome! Larry Erlandson is our new Lakeshore Living cohost
10-Jan-2012Larry Erlandson, former director of Evergreen Commons, current owner of Amramp and an active community supporter, has been named the cohost of Mac-TV’s weekly Lakeshore Living program. He succeeds Frank Kraai and will share hosting duties with long-time broadcaster Wendy Wigger.
“I'm looking forward to exploring a wide variety of subjects and activities that contribute to the diversity of interests people share along the lakeshore,” Erlandson said, “everything from education and the arts to history and athletics.” He also wants to explore grandparenting and the “vibrant life of older adults.”
His first program in January focused on the DeGraaf Nature Center and the Macatawa Area Express. It can be viewed online HERE.
Barb Pyle, executive director of MacMedia, said Erlandson’s outgoing personality and knowledge of the area made him the right choice for the volunteer hosting position.
“We are confident Larry will continue the legacy of an informative, fun show begun 11 years ago by Frank Kraai,” Pyle said. “And, he will add his own flavor.”
Kraai retired from on-camera duties this past spring. Since then, a dozen guests hosted Lakeshore Living prior to Erlandson being named to the volunteer position.
Erlandson spent 14 years as director of Evergreen Commons in Holland. He is now co-owner of Amramp Michigan Ramp Systems, a company that sells, rents and installs wheelchair ramps at homes, businesses, and other public buildings. Erlandson is a member of the A.M. Holland Rotary Club, has been involved with Holland Chamber of Commerce activities, and has served on the boards of several community organizations. Erlandson and his wife Beth have two children and six grandchildren. During his leisure time, Erlandson enjoys marathon running and reading.
Welcome aboard, Larry!
